Choose a region before listing attractions
Northern Xinjiang is known for lakes, forests and autumn colour. Ili offers grasslands, wildflowers and snow mountains. Southern Xinjiang combines old towns, canyons, desert edges and high-plateau scenery.
Match the itinerary to your available time
- 5–6 days: Ili, Kashgar and the Pamirs, or another single region.
- 8–10 days: A Kanas loop or a fuller southern route.
- 12+ days: Add slower stays instead of constant transfers.
Leave flexibility for families
When travelling with seniors or children, reduce consecutive long driving days and leave room for weather, road and energy-level adjustments.
