Bring the confirmed requirements to pickup
Pickup is where a Xinjiang booking becomes an actual service. Save the confirmed driver contact, number plate, vehicle description, passenger count and special equipment requirements. If a different driver or vehicle arrives, verify the change through your existing operator contact rather than relying only on a name board.
Focus on the conditions you agreed, such as a seating layout, child restraint or manageable entry for an older relative. Promotional photographs cannot confirm the equipment or usable space in the vehicle that arrives.
Try the seats and load all the luggage
With the vehicle safely parked in a permitted place, have everyone try their intended seat. Check usable seat belts, suitable seating positions and clear access. Child restraints need installation according to their instructions and vehicle compatibility, checked by someone familiar with the equipment; simply bringing one is insufficient.
Present every suitcase and smaller bag for the driver to load safely. Confirm that the tailgate closes normally, items are secured and necessary equipment remains usable. Testing only the largest cases can leave loose bags competing with passengers later. Do not accept unusable seating to save time.
Understand the limits of a passenger check
Ask the driver to explain door controls, climate controls and the location of emergency supplies. Try agreed convenience features. Raise visible damage or a faulty seat belt with the operator. A passenger's visual check cannot establish the mechanical condition of the brakes, tyres or vehicle.
For example, if a child restraint was agreed but only an ordinary cushion is supplied, explain the discrepancy and request a solution meeting the original requirement. This is an illustrative situation, not a claim about any operator's equipment.
Resolve outstanding points before leaving
Keep the discrepancy, operator response and final arrangement in one confirmation record. Reconfirm pickup details and the onward plan if a replacement is needed. Pause departure over safety concerns. Share records only with relevant people, avoiding public disclosure of driver documents or contact details, then explain the final seating arrangement to the family.
