Beijing adds TCM and wellness stops to new inbound tourism scenarios
Beijing's June 2026 inbound-tourism release places traditional Chinese medicine clinics, wellness dining and related cultural experiences inside one of the city's featured visitor routes.

On June 6, the Beijing municipal government English portal reported that the 2026 Beijing Inbound Tourism Development Conference had released 10 new visitor scenarios aimed at international travelers seeking experience-led trips.
One of those official scenarios is labeled 'Innovative Traditional Chinese Medicine and Wellness Experience' and names destinations including Tongrentang Zhima Health, Z'an TCM Clinic, Dongzhimen Hospital affiliated to Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Pingxintang Clinic and Xiyuan Hospital of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences.
For prospective visitors, the significance is destination development rather than a unified medical program: Beijing is visibly packaging TCM, wellness and cultural consumption into its inbound-travel narrative. Anyone considering a health-related stop should confirm appointment procedures, language support and service suitability directly with the relevant institution.
