Answer: The Shanghai International Travel Healthcare Center says appointments should be booked at least two weeks in advance through its official WeChat channel. Applicants should bring the original passport, photocopies of the passport photo page and visa or visa-free entry record, three recent two-inch photos, the printed Health Examination Application Form and Consent Form, plus purpose-specific materials such as a work permit or employer certificate, an admission letter or student ID, or other relevant residence-supporting documents.
If you already completed an overseas health examination within the past six months at an embassy-designated hospital, the center says you should also bring the original report, test results and X-ray film for reference. This is procedural guidance only, so final document acceptance and any reexamination steps should be confirmed directly with the center or the authority handling your permit.
