Patient Q&A

Patient Q&A: If I do not use WeChat yet, how can I book Shanghai's official entry physical exam?

Shanghai's official guide says most bookings go through the Shanghai International Travel Healthcare Center WeChat account, but newcomers without WeChat access can request an appointment by email and use the published service hotline for questions.

Question: I need Shanghai's official post-entry physical examination for a longer stay, but I have not set up WeChat yet. Is there an official workaround?

Answer: Shanghai's official guide says applicants can usually book by using the WeChat public account of the Shanghai International Travel Healthcare Center and selecting the online-booking option. The same guide also says that international visitors who are new to Shanghai and do not yet have access to WeChat may email [email protected] to make an appointment.

The page further lists a service hotline at 021-6268-8851 for questions or difficulties. As always, patients should confirm the latest address, opening hours, required documents and any identity or immigration prerequisites before attending, because administrative arrangements can change.
