Pudong airport adds stronger arrival support for medical-travel logistics
Shanghai Pudong International Airport says inbound travelers can use pre-immigration information points, short-term SIM applications, passport-based Wi-Fi login, one-stop arrival help, rest areas and showers, with tax-refund processing also becoming faster.

International Services Shanghai said on April 24 that Pudong airport upgraded several arrival services after inbound foreign traveler volumes rose, including self-service information points before border control and a one-stop service center in the public arrivals area.
The official guide says travelers can obtain help with payment, transport and communications, apply for 7-day, 15-day or 30-day short-term China Telecom SIM cards with a passport, connect to airport Wi-Fi through passport verification and use rest pods, free showers and rest areas during long layovers.
For patients and accompanying family members, these are practical arrival tools rather than medical services. Flight schedules, border procedures, accessibility arrangements and any onward hospital transport should still be confirmed directly with the airport, airline and receiving institution.
