International Services Shanghai reported on June 25 that Shanghai Pudong International Airport has expanded its cross-airline, cross-terminal transfer service from one route to 10 international destinations across three continents, together with four domestic feeder cities.

According to the official update, eligible passengers flying on qualifying China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines and Juneyao Air itineraries can check in for both flight segments at the departure airport and have checked baggage sent through to the final destination.

For medical-travel planning, that can reduce some transfer friction for patients and companions arriving on multi-leg itineraries. Travelers should still confirm airline eligibility, baggage rules, mobility assistance and ground transport arrangements directly with the carrier and receiving institution before departure.
