Shanghai opens Eastern Hub medical-device exchange center with global firms
Shanghai's weekly bulletin says a global center for medical-device training, exhibitions, trading and innovation has opened in the Eastern Hub International Business Cooperation Zone, alongside an international exchange project backed by major multinationals.

Shanghai's Weekly Bulletin reported on June 3 that a global medical-device center for training, exhibitions, trading and innovation had been inaugurated in the Eastern Hub International Business Cooperation Zone.
The same official bulletin said the A3 International Medical Technology Innovation Exchange Center started operating there as one of the zone's first major projects, with Boston Scientific, Danaher and Siemens Healthineers named as joint developers.
For patients, the near-term relevance is indirect but real: the city is building a cross-border ecosystem around medical technology demonstration and exchange. That may improve future visibility of device-related services, but patients should rely on direct confirmation from licensed hospitals about actual clinical availability, approval status and costs.
