Xiamen highlights one-stop support for international healthcare visitors
An official Xiamen update says pilot hospitals are offering integrated support that can cover appointments, translation, accommodation, insurance billing and certain visa-related assistance for overseas patients.
The Foreign Affairs Office of Xiamen Municipal Government reported on June 25 that the city is expanding international healthcare support through pilot hospitals and a more coordinated service model for overseas visitors.
According to the official summary, the support package can include appointment coordination, treatment navigation, translation, accommodation arrangements, insurance billing support and certain visa-related assistance, depending on the institution and case.
For medical-travel planning, the practical takeaway is that Xiamen is packaging hospital access and surrounding logistics more clearly for cross-border patients.
